Iranian film ‘Singo’ vying at Zlin filmfest

Iranian movie ‘Singo’ is competing at the 2022 Zlin Film Festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic.

Iranian movie ‘Singo’ has been competing at the 62nd edition of the Zlin Film Festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic.

Alireza Mohammadi Rouzbahani, the director of the movie, has made a number of short films and participated in several international festivals.

In his first feature film ‘Singo’, he presented the story of child heroes and focused on the importance of preserving Qeshm Island’s environment.

‘Singo’ is the story of a girl who tries to save the environment.

The cast of the film includes Hadis Abousalaqi, Taha Behrouzpour, Zohreh Eslami, Omid Zeinalzadeh, Komeil Jafari, Yousef Talandeh, Mojtaba Rajabi Memar, and Behshad Sharifian.

According to the official website of the Zlin Film Festival, “it is the oldest and largest film festival of its kind in the world. Each year the festival presents around 300 films from more than 50 countries around the world.”

The 62nd edition of the event is now underway and will end on June 1, 2022.
